New year, new start, new patterns...please welcome Angel Fish skirt!

What a difference moving a bit away from the west coast makes! Winters here are real, white, cold, and gray.... Looks like I have been on a quest to create colorful designs just to brighten the winter up!

Here is my new design, Angel Fish Skirt.

Skirts and dresses are what my little girl loves wearing the most. After creating Tropical Fish Skirt I thought it would be appropriate to keep with the theme of beautiful tropical lagoons, colorful fish, and unusual shapes for this particular skirt too. Here it is, Angel Fish Skirt, for my own and yours little singing and dancing fishes.
The pattern is written for the worsted weight yarn; however you can use custom worksheet to use any other weight yarns.

The skirt is available as a stand alone pattern or a part of the Itty Bitty ebook in progress.
More info on the ebook can be found here:http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/itty-bitty-pool

Sizes available and Yardage Info:
When choosing a size, please do not rely solely on age categories. Measure your child, and choose the appropriate size based on the actual waist measurement, then use custom worksheet to knit to the length you desire.
Note on skirt length: yarn behaves differently when knitted sideways; please make sure that you block your gauge sample slightly stretching it sideways to simulate wearing. You can also customize the skirt length by following a custom worksheet on pages 8-10.

Hugs and Kisses Winter Set

We are having such a cold spell here right now, the temperatures dropped to -18C during the day and to -27C during the night. When I was working on this colorful set in September, that is the weather I ahd in mind.
The bright colors are perfect for all the white and gray around us. And the colorwork makes the hat and scarf especially warm and cozy.
Maya is wearing her  cowl together with her scarf to make her little face warm!

The pattern is available for free on Petite Purls website and is part of their Winter 2011/2012 issue: Hugs and Kisses Winter Set

Cinnamon Errata

I have just recently updated my pattern Cinnamon, and it was brought to my attention that the Row 5 instruction is missing. I am not really sure how it disappeared, but I must have deleted it accidentally during the massive pattern update.
Row 5 (WS) Instructions should read:

Right Front: k4, p1, slipm,
Sleeves and Back: p1, purl purls and knit knits, if in doubt look at the RS, p1, slipm,
Left Front: p1, k4

Paprika

I have fallen in love with contiguous set in sleeve method that was developed by Susie Myers. I can envision so many designs, but can only work on a few at the time.

I have used this method to create my last design, Paprika, for my "Spice Girls" ebook.

I want to thank my wonderful test knitters, without whom this pattern would never be  possible!

Spice Girls ebook is a collection of cardigans designed for everyday wear, and as a part of the Spice Collection, Paprika brings a little unique spice all of its own.

Paprika features some simple cables that look intricate but are very easy to execute, a hood, and interesting closures. It is completely seamless; it is knit from top down and requires very minimal finishing. Paprika is worked flat apart from 2 rows to finish the sleeves.

Contiguous set-in sleeves technique allows shoulder shaping and creating set-in sleeves without using short rows. Sleeves are worked at the same time as the rest of the vest.

Written instructions are very detailed (32 pages!), and are broken into a few size groups. Please read the pattern, and to save ink and paper print only what you need for your size.
