Cyclades Vest

I have started working on new ebook series "Sun and Sand". The idea is to create comfy garments from cool and crisp fibers for summer and spring. The ebook will be a work in progress for the next few months, and if all goes according to plan will be complete with 7 patterns.

Right now ebook has 3 complete designs: Sand Dance Skirt, Gavrosh Pants and Cyclades Vest.
Pattern is designed for cotton yarns in dk weight.

Cyclades Vest:

Cyclades Vest is a part of my “Sun and Sand” collection that takes you on a journey to hot exotic places: places like a desert oasis, to the shores of Mediterranean Sea, and to the colorful markets of Middle East, places from my childhood memories.

“Cyclades Vest” is my vision of free moving winds, long journeys, grassy hills, and of never ending wonder of childhood.

The vest is designed to be unisex. It is completely seamless and is knit from top down. I have used an amazing technique developed by Susie Myers, “contiguous set-in sleeves”, that allows shaping shoulders and knitting set-in sleeves without a use of a single short row.  Sleeves are knitted together at the same time with the rest of the vest.
